Mr. Yuan co-founded Simon & Edward, LLP, an accounting firm, which is an independent member of the BDO Alliance, headquartered in Los Angeles.
His early recognition of the global marketplace and his extensive network and work in China and Taiwan resulted in the rapid expansion of his firm’s services to those countries, where he has established a network of affiliates and local representatives to better serve client needs. In addition, his experiences in initial public offerings, registration statements, reverse mergers, private placements, PIPE transactions, compliance reporting have contributed to the growth of the firm’s client base both in United States and abroad. Mr. Yuan is fluent in Chinese and serves as an accountant and business advisor in Asia, providing specialized auditing and accounting services to public and non-public companies throughout the United States, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Mr. Yuan is an active leader, officer and participant of many professional communities, and charitable organizations. He had served as former Chairman and as a current Director of Sino-American Certified Public Accountants’ Association; a professional organization has more than one hundred Chinese-American CPAs’ members in Southern California. He also sat in advisory board in some local banks. He enjoys sharing his expertise with business communities on numerous subjects through frequent seminars and workshops.
Mr. Yuan receives his Master in Accountancy degree from Ohio State University. Prior to founding Simon & Edward, LLP, and Simon Yuan Accountancy Corporation, he was a Senior Internal Auditor for Wells Fargo Bank, a Tax Auditor for the State Board of California and a Senior Auditor for Moore Stephens (a top eight international accounting firm).
Ms. Lin is has more than 25 years of experiences in accounting and auditing both publicly traded and privately held companies in United States, China, and Taiwan.Prior to joining Simon & Edward, Ms. Lin served as a Senior Audit Manager in KPMG Taiwan. Ms. Lin has significant experience assisting clients ranging in size from small private business to multi-national corporations. Ms. Lin has worked extensively with the Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements, preparing comment letters for use by management to improve their systems of internal accounting controls, developing policy and procedures manuals, and working with the clients’ accounting department and the audit staff to properly plan the engagement to provide for its effective and efficient completion. Ms. Lin has also conducted research on a variety of complex accounting and SEC compliance issues related to initial public offerings, registration statements, reverse mergers, and private placements in a variety of industries and especially in international business based in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Ms. Sundra Zhao was a financial controller of a $100 million revenue solar company prior to joining Simon & Edward, LLP. Before the controller position, Sundra was a former audit manager at PwC U.S., a ranking #2 CPA firm in the United States. Sundra accumulated extensive experience in complex technical accounting topics and comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and AICPA standards when she served at the audit practice in the US. She specializes in financial statement audits and SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404 audits, audits of nonprofit organizations and other assurance services. Ms. Zhao started her audit practice in US from a small CPA firm, then moved to a national CPA firm and later PwC U.S. and was substantially involved in auditing publicly traded companies listed in Nasdaq, NYSE and OTC, including blue-chip public companies, small to mid-size public companies and private companies who plan to go public, specializes in industries such as SAAS technology, entertainment, consumer products, manufactures, and nonprofit industry. During the years of employment in the two CPA firms prior to PwC, Sundra has served most Asian-Pacific based US public companies who listed in the US with her expertise. Sundra Zhao is a CPA (California) with over 10 years’ experience in public accounting and over 10 years’ experience in corporate accounting in US and China. Ms. Zhao passed all four section of US CPA exam in one sitting back in 2012. Sundra is a member of the AICPA and California Society of CPAs.
